The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour is the largest poker tour in the UK. It is organised by Grosvenor/G casinos and initially it was co-run by Blue Square Poker though the online partner is now gcasino which took over the web side at the beginning of 2010.

The tour was first run in 2007 and it consists of a series of poker festivals which are held both at live casinos and online. Each festival consists of a number of side events with buy-ins from as little as £100, as well as a four day Main Event with a buy in of £1,000.
At the end of the tour there is a Grand Final which is held in London at the Grosvenor Victoria casino and has a main event buy-in of £2,500.

The tour is known for its prize money which in 2010 reached £5,500,000 just for the main events of which there were eleven. The tour is generally televised (though the 2008 tour was not) and the television broadcasts have contributed considerably to its popularity and the popularity of UK poker in general.
The first Champion of Champions tournament was held in 2008 and it was only available to event winners during the year and it boasted £75,000 in prize money. The following year the prize money for this event was increased to £100,000.

This year the tour kicked off in Manchester before moving to London and Walsall. Six summer series events were held from May to July and the final leg was concluded in early November in Blackpool. There was a field of 262 players for the Main Event which was won by Andrew Peters who left with total prize money of £71,020.
The Grand Final is scheduled from 21st November to 4th December in London and the Main Event buy-in is £2,500. For the latest and exclusive bonuses at casino poker websites, visit www.onlinecasinoking.com

Are you aware that if you are playing blackjack using a blackjack strategy that you will have a good shot at beating the casino? Mathematicians have analyzed and looked through millions of blackjack hands to figure out the blackjack basic strategies and this strategy is accessible on quick reference cards. A few of the things that aid in the success of a basic strategy is when the player can pick when to take the next card, split the first 2 cards or even double down. As well as getting paid 3 to 2 for a blackjack but, the dealer gets even monies and has to continue to take cards until they reach 17 or more in total.

The basic rules of blackjack are to stand on 17 or more, to hit on 8 or less and hit on 12-16 if the dealer has a 7 or higher showing. The player also has an option to double their bet once they see their first 2 cards and follows the basic rules: double down on 11‘s, double down on 10’s if the dealers showing a 9 or less and double down on 9’s if the dealer has 6 or lower showing. Should the player receive two cards that are the same they can split them. This means making two hands out of one and doubling the bet. Splitting can be good in certain circumstances like when your dealt a pair of 8’s. 16 is a bad hand but two hands of 18 are good.

Get some blackjack strategy cards and you will easily and quickly see what sort of action you should be taking based on your cards and the dealer’s show card.

Reading your opponents in poker happens at all the big poker tournaments. The fine art of reading your opponents happens when a player with a frail hand makes an opponent with a good hand to fold. It’s extremely important to have total control of your expressions and emotions when reading your opponents. It’s vital that you hide any clues, that you could give off when you pick up a frail hand or a sturdy hand.

The very first step at succeeding in reading your opponents is to keep your opponents from being able to read your hand through your mannerisms. If you act predictable it’ll assist you in a successful bluff. Other players are watching what you do as much as your watching them and they’ll be trying to figure you out. Its important that you know the cards well. If you are in a game that uses face up cards, then you should make a little mental note of the cards that are face up and the cards that you could have that would make for a sturdy hand.

When reading your opponents, always remember to look for the behaviour patterns in each player as that’ll give you a great idea of what cards they are holding. As the saying goes, the first flinch is probably the right one. A player may accidentally leak a sign before trying to hide it. Now you know how the term “poker face” came about. You are trying to keep all indication of your hand, whether it’s a good hand or bad one, from being communicated to your opponents.

Heads-up poker can be very profitable for the players who get what the strategy adjustments are. Some of the important issues to think about with heads-up poker when playing other is hand reading skills, discipline, and adapting. Adapting means that you need change yourself to the changing strengths of the other players. In heads-up poker, your really playing the player and positioning is more often more important than playing the game.

Hand reading skills mean that you watch all of your opponents closely and watch the outcome to constantly make changes and improve. The very best players are always checking their reads and keeping the history of the hand open. Using discipline means keeping the management on your money and your ability to control the tilt. The tilt is more challenging in heads-up poker as you have to make decisions on every single hand. In a big game, you can fold all except the premiums as your tilt but in heads-up poker this is impossible to do. If your unable to control tilt you’ll more likely lose the money. Heads-up poker is one of the most favorable types of poker games that’s online for the player who really gets the right

strategies and changes that have to be made in this sort of poker. A good heads-up player can get a great return on investment by playing heads-up instead of big SNGs. Heads-up plays can be stressful for everyone involved and some people even thrive on this stress.

Are you eager to learn to play Texas Hold’em Poker? Then you should learn the very basics before you jump in. If your a beginner its important to learn about the game first before betting real money.

There are 5 cards that are dealt face up in the middle. There’s a dealer when you play this game and if you’re playing at home then a player can always be the dealer and after each hand change the dealer clockwise. The dealer button is called as the Buck and its passed as the dealer changes.

The game gets going when 2 cards are faced down and dealt. The cards that are dealt are called the pocket cards. These remain on the table but each player can view them at any time. The idea of the game is to create the best combinations. Whoever creates the best combination is the winner.

Betting happens when two players sitting to the left side of the dealer make what’s known as blind bets. The player on the right of the dealer is the small blind and the big blind is the one next to that. But should that player be sitting left of the big blinder is named as the straddle. The benefit is that this player can make his bet the very last.

Players sitting next to straddle have the ability to fold, call or raise however the following player can do this too but they can do more as they can raise it again. The amount is fixed when the player raises it.
